APPROVAL, COMPLIANCE & PROTECTION

Google Merchant Center

A practical framework for preparing legitimate ecommerce stores, diagnosing rejection or suspension, and protecting an approved account.

Approval is the result of a consistent business

Google Merchant Center reviews more than a product feed. The store, business identity, contact details, policies, pricing, checkout, product data and customer experience must tell one consistent story.

Terry’s approach is built from supporting more than 1,000 Merchant Center approvals and reinstatements. It focuses on finding the actual risk signals, fixing the underlying store and presenting a credible business—not repeatedly requesting reviews without material changes.

Common causes of rejection or suspension

  • Business details that are missing, inconsistent or difficult to verify.
  • Shipping, returns, payment or contact information that conflicts across the site and feed.
  • Product claims, pricing or availability that change between adverts, landing pages and checkout.
  • Thin storefronts, broken journeys or insufficient trust signals.
  • Feed problems, disapprovals or account history that have not been properly diagnosed.

There is no universal PageSpeed score, fixed product count or single template that guarantees approval. Merchant Center decisions are contextual, and no independent consultant can promise an outcome.

A practical approval process

  1. Map the business: legal identity, domain, store ownership, target market and fulfilment model.
  2. Audit the storefront: policies, navigation, checkout, products, trust and technical reliability.
  3. Reconcile the feed: titles, prices, availability, shipping and destinations must match the site.
  4. Remove contradictions: address every inconsistency before asking Google to review again.
  5. Protect the approval: monitor changes, disapprovals and policy risk after activation.
